This is a temporary home for Catholic church photos I’ve taken. I plan to make a website devoted only to Catholic church photos as time permits. I apologize for the watermarks, if someone needs to use a photo, just leave a comment here and I’ll e-mail you. I have no intention of profiting from my church photos, non-commercial use will most likely be free in all cases. Commercial use may require a donation to the church in question.

Where is the 1962 blessed crucifix of Jesus in Redemptorist Church? Since i have a guide, i was told that, the 1962 blessed crucifix, was the true blessed face of Jesus. The Shrine of Jesus, is almost alike to the true blessed face of Jesus, and it would be good to have the Shrine situated across the social hall, where there is a blessed statue of the Sacred Heart white paint of Shalom, outside the monastery. It was said that doves were seen on top of the church flying, that was for the parish priests to know, that the Second Coming of Jesus, was about to come, and the Redemptorist Church of the City of Tacloban parish, know, that Redemptorist Church was recognized as the second church in the
Books of Records in Heaven. Of course, the first Redemptorist Church built was probably in Ireland. Therefore, the community should take with humble pride the first name introduced to the people, Redemptorist Church. The new blessed statue that replaced the 1962 blessed crucifix, is no longer the same to the true blessed face of Jesus.
As Lent is coming, for all to remember what is Paschal. He is already here on His Second Coming.
Take this information as jubilant news. You will aso find His true blessed face on the blessed portrait of “Bless Our Home” and He was 28 years old then. Something to share to the church-goers.

Hello mikael,
Next time I’m in Leyte, I plan to photograph the few (Catholic) churches I missed (including the one at Palompon). We just ran out of time on our last trip to get them all.

I really enjoyed your photos of Leyte, particularly Tacloban. I just never realized we had so many churches and chapels back home. I wish you could have seen the old altar in the Alang-alang church so you could imagine how it was in the old days. Last I saw it, it was on display at the Ayala Museum years ago. Might be a good thing, too, though. I guess they can preserve it better.
